Hello Spring | The Pea Family

Hey there, lovely!

I’m so excited you’re here! So, why did I start this newsletter? Well, between the school runs, the never-ending laundry piles, and, you know, trying to get dinner on the table without burning it (again), I thought, “Why not create a little corner where we can just be real together?”

This is where I can share all the messy moments, life hacks that actually work (promise), and those quick recipes that won’t leave you with a mountain of dishes. No filters, no perfect Pinterest vibes – just the stuff that makes motherhood funny, chaotic, and somehow beautiful.

I want this newsletter to be your go-to for anything from daily life survival tips to those moments of “I can’t believe this is my life” (because trust me, I’m with you). Plus, there’s going to be some exclusive stuff you won’t find anywhere else!

So, grab your coffee (or wine, I’m not judging) and let’s do this. Because, let’s face it, we’re all in this mum thing together!

Catch you in your inbox soon!

Some of you might be wondering where the "pea" thing came from, so here’s the story... cue flashback music...

Back when I lived in the USA, people would always ask why we had peas so often at dinner. I'd say, “Growing up in the UK, if you needed an emergency veggie, it was either frozen peas or a tin of baked beans. So, you’re either a pea or a bean family. We’re a pea family—and now you are too!”

These Magnet Tiles are by far the most played with toy in our house. It also comes with a fantastic storage bag. This is also our go to Christmas and birthday present.

The Bugaboo Travel Pram is our most used single pram and we’ve had it for years. It folds down with one hand, has a shoulder strap and fits in most over head storage on a plane (only exception is the tiny planes). We have the Forest Green but I also love the Desert Taupe.

I get asked about these Cereal Bowls all the time from my vlogs. Charlie loves drinking up the milk so nothing gets wasted and there is minimal mess. It’s giving 90s baby vibes!

Ahhhh, I am having so much fun getting back into knitting. It’s really helped with my anxiety and with calming myself at the end of the day. I have started with this Blanket Knitting Kit to get back into the flow of knitting and pick up speed. I highly recommend it!

The Stanley Water Bottle is awesome for popping in your backpack for the office. It’s easy to carry around, also great for the gym and golf course.

This Anorak is perfect for English spring. It’s warmer than it looks, easy to throw on and relatively waterproof. It’s lightweight and easy to stuff in a bag - and doesn’t look creased!

The weather isn’t making it’s mind up and it’s always cold in the mornings and evenings, so these UGG Slippers keep things comfortable.

This Brush for your golf clubs is awesome for range sessions and waking. It’s on a strong magnet, so you can take it anywhere. Fill it with water and a splash of dish soap (Caroline here - it’s washing up liquid in England ;) ) and squirt your clubs before scrubbing.

It’s no secret on my page that I am obsessed with Nobody’s Child! I love the over sized collars and the colour palate they use. This brand is defo a bit of me!

Now that spring has sprung, a very large majority of British women will take their spring/summer uniform of a summer dress with trainers…well Nobody’s Child is where it’s at my friends! I also love that they are washing machine safe and wash really well because let’s be honest who has time for hand washing!

This Sézane Yellow Cardigan needs no introduction - it’s stunning and I get so many compliments when I wear it. I particularly love the neckline, I feel like it’s so flattering but still modest. I got this in a size Large. A similar cardigan I’m loving is from New Look.

These Abercrombie Loose Jeans also don’t need an introduction from me. I wear these jeans 90% of the time. I like that they give the loose look but sit on my shoes so aren’t dragging dirt. I am a size 12-14 and have two pairs of these in a waist 29 and 30 because I do bloat around my period. **Abercrombie currently have 25% off spring favs, and 15% off these jeans! Use code AFXLTK for an additional 15% off too! Go go go!

I have just ordered this Dressing Gown and I am so excited for this! Can we firstly take a minute for the colour - UNREAL! I personally love a towel material dressing gown because I like to wear them, as well as with morning cosies, after a shower.

With the unpredictable weather of April, here are a few things in and around London/Surrey…

Surprise! We got the house! We’ve also got an amazing opportunity to stay in a cottage until we complete. The Pea Family are now living their country bumpkin life in a new pod!
